Our Vision:

The vision of the Department is to give quality education and to develop critical thinking in students on the basis of the awareness about the past and its legacies. Such quality education and critical thinking will support each and every student in their future endeavors.

Our Mission:

1. To familiarize the students with different historical developments from the earliest to the present scenario on the basis of different aspects like socio-cultural, socio-political, socio-economic etc.
2. To equip the students to face the challenges with confidence on the basis of their knowledge about the interconnections among the global, national, regional and local history.
3. To enlighten the learners with relevant skills and knowledge for the development of their level of competence and this enhances their quality of lives.
